 Hanjie GuoProfessor (Ph.D. supervisor) at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) and a USTB Distinguished Scholar. He is a Beijing Distinguished Teacher and Beijing Moral Education Pioneer. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Expert Committee at Beijing Key Laboratory of Advanced Metal Melting and Preparation. He is a committee member of the Special Metallurgy Academic Committee of the Chinese Society for Metals, and a committee member of the Direct Reduced Iron Expert Committee of China Association of Metal Scrap Utilization. 

He has long been engaged in research on physical chemistry liquid structure theory and is a major pioneer of the "Atom-Molecule Coexistence Theory" and "Ion-Molecule Coexistence Theory." He proposed that under the coexistence of "atom-molecule" in metal solutions and "ion-molecule" in slag and aqueous solutions, "concentration" can replace "activity," greatly simplifying multi-component multi-phase equilibrium theoretical calculations while maintaining high practical accuracy. This theory has been successfully applied in various fields including hydrogen metallurgy, coal-based hydrogen metallurgy, pellet preparation in iron and steel metallurgy, blast furnace ironmaking, steelmaking, electroslag metallurgy, material heat treatment, and research in aqueous and organic solutions.

 Bin Li :Assistant Professor, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the School of Metallurgical Engineering, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. He is a member of the Expert Database of China International Engineering Consulting Corporation. His research focuses on the fundamental application of hydrogen metallurgy technology, synergistic high-value utilization of metallurgical coal chemicals, and theoretical and process optimization of ferroalloys. He has led 2 provincial-level projects and 3 university-enterprise cooperation projects, and published over 10 SCI papers.

His research focuses on the production of high-purity iron and high-purity bearing steel through direct hydrogen reduction. He has conducted exploratory research on a new process of hydrogen direct reduction-melting separation-refining to obtain high-purity steel materials. The process involves using hydrogen to reduce roasted iron ore oxide pellets while controlling the non-reduction of gangue components such as sulfur, silicon, manganese, titanium, and aluminum in the iron ore. Through molten separation, the gangue (slag) and metal in the reduced iron are separated, and the residual ferrous oxide in the reduced iron is utilized to adjust the slag composition for dephosphorization. Secondary refining and alloying of the high-purity iron melt were performed, and the slag system was designed and optimized to achieve deoxidation of liquid pure iron, ultimately obtaining 99.9868% high-purity iron and high-purity bearing steel with total oxygen content of 4.8ppm and Ti content of 6ppm.
