DC Plasma electrical furnace DRI
Description
DC Plasma electrical furnace DRI
Direct current plasma smelting reduction
furnace ironmaking technology is an advanced ironmaking process. It uses the
high-temperature plasma generated by a direct current plasma torch as a heat
source to reduce iron ore and reductant at high temperatures, producing molten
iron and slag. The process is characterized by high efficiency, energy saving,
and environmental protection, making it suitable for small to medium-scale
molten iron production.
-
Plasma is a
high-temperature ionized gas with temperatures reaching 2000-3000°C.
-
Direct current arc
generates plasma, providing a high-temperature heat source that enables
the rapid reduction of iron ore
When the electricity price is in low position, it got strong competitive advantage than other technologies with low investment, and short IRR period, most suitable for small output iron marking factories like 30,000tpa, 50,000tpa, 80,000tpa/unit; or multi-furnaces reach 100,000tpa, 200,000tpa, 300,000tpa, 500,000tpa with high liquid iron quality as BF.
